Understanding why we Patch Test

A patch test is performed at least 48 hours before your treatment to check for any allergic reactions to the products that will be used. Please note that a reaction may still occur, even after testing.

If 6 months pass without treatment then a patch test will need to be repeated.

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer a patch test or treatment within two weeks before or after receiving a Covid-19 vaccine or booster. This also applies if you are currently undergoing a course of antibiotics, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Waxing

Hairs are removed from the follicles using Hot Wax, hairs grow back finer and softer the more you wax and typically last 4-6 weeks. This treatment is not suitable for anyone undergoing chemical peels or using Retinol/Retinal. Sensitive skin can react to waxing, if you are uncertain a patch test can be done prior to treatment.

Henna Brows

The “must-have” vegan friendly brow trend. Henna has been around for thousands of years and is viewed as a more natural alternative to dye, making it a great alternative for people with sensitive skin. Henna provides a fuller more 3D effect and is ideal for sparse, over-plucked eyebrows as it encourages hair growth. Henna tints the skin – which last 2-10 days, and the hairs – which lasts 2-4 weeks, depending on skin type and how well the aftercare process is followed. The key to this treatment is the time and care taken in shaping the contours of the brow, allowing you to choose the shape and definition. Henna takes beautifully to grey hairs. Patch test required.

After an initial consultation on desired colour, dye is applied to the hairs to change the colour of the eyebrow, typically lasts up to 4 weeks.
